Why would God allow your heart to care so much about someone that you are not in a relationship with?
Why would God allow your heart to care so much about someone that you are not in a relationship with?Or no longer in a relationship with?
I feel like a strong thought that comes to mind is that, God allowed you to care about That person so much.
Because you will be with this person, just not right now… I also believe that many of us feel this same way.
But time is a big place and in God’s time, an infinite place. Another strong feeling I believe is that God allowed you to care about That person so much because he wanted you to be a light to them.
I’m certainly not saying God wants you to missionary date, which is a term that means you are trying to romantically date an unbeliever.
Simply as a way of being a witness to them. We all know, or should know that God does not want us (his children) to be unequally yoked.
Sometimes, however, God gives us a heart of feelings for someone because he wants us to be a light to them.
At times, this person becomes much more to us (yoked) and then you date and even get married.
Usually this is not what happens however, we all know, have witnessed or been victim of that sad ending…
Unfortunately, sometimes life gets in the way… unfortunately sometimes others get involved.
Most of the time, God uses you in an instance like this. To plant a seed in that person that God will use other people, to grow and water later on.
It really does have meaning in God’s plan, at some point for them, the others involved and yes, YOU ARE too!
We do not know what God holds in the future for us. BUT… We should discipline ourselves to be open to his plan, his wants for us.
And not to drive or control it ourselves, based on our own fleshly preferences.
And sometimes you care about another person and that person cares about you, and God allowed your paths to cross for a season.
Because he knew you two needed each other for that season.
But not all relationships are built to endure.
And that’s okay. Seasonal relationships are not automatically toxic, bad or sinful relationships.
At times, God allows two people to help each other in an important way that will benefit them for the rest of their lives.
But then the story of you and that person surprisingly, is sometimes quickly, sometimes abruptly.
Meant to end and he leads both of those people, you and them to move on.
I feel like we have all been here at some time in our lives, if you have lived long enough to be part of that connection with another person.
Obviously, this doesn’t usually happen in our twenty’s.
But by our 30’s and forward… we may have had this sort of connection with another person.
Blessed upon us as part of God’s plans for us and the other person. We are all connected and all, brothers and sisters of the same father.
And his will be done! No matter what God is doing, always trust him…
He has a good plan for your life, their life, my life, our lives! You just need to keep following him.
